Born in Siena on April 8, 1970.

Graduated in Statistics (Summa Cum Laude) from the University of Siena in January 1995.

Visiting fellow at the Dept of Math, University of Queensland (Australia) in 1998.

PhD in Applied Statistics from the University of Florence in February 1999.

Postdoctoral Fellow at the Dept of Statistics of the University of Florence (from 1999 to 2004).

Assistant Professor in Statistics (Ricercatore in Statistica SECS-S/01), Faculty of Economics, from 2005 to 2011.

Associate Professor in Statistics (Professore Associato in Statistica SECS-S/01), Faculty of Economics, since 2011.

Member of the Italian Statistical Society (SIS), the Italian Biometrics Society(IBS) and the International Environmetrics Society (TIES).

Current research interests relate to Spatial Statistic and Hierarchical Bayesian Models.
